Was there ever a location in Kansas named Maryville or a town that sounds similar? I was left a cassette tape on family history and it says that an "aunt Minnie married a man named Holm and moved to Maryville, KS. They had a store and did real well." This is all the information I have. HELP!!!

Perhaps the tape is referring to Marysville, Marshall County, KS. It is the county seat, so it has been around for some time.

Seeking information regarding EVERETT THORPE born possibly around 1887/1888, somewhere in Kansas. Father's name possibly David. Mother's name possibly Mae or May. At some time, suspect early 1900s, he moved to New York, either alone or with members of his family. Settled in or around Burnside, Orange Co., New York. Any information verifying this data would help greatly. Thank you. EThorpeJr@aol.com.
