Where was (is) Stringtown? My gr-gr grandfather's obit says he died of Dropsey in
1903 at his home near Stringtown. His family farm was near Stilwell in Johnson
County - was Stringtown a nickname for Stilwell?

Trying to track elusive Sease relatives. GGF born St. Joe 1854. Surname Sease on voter registration lists 1854-1856 (Jno.L.; Dist 7) and census (John; Jackson Co, Douglas Twp p. 102, 1860) Need more info on these people to know if there is a connection to my GGF's family in MO. Does anyone have these records? I've only seen indices at Ancestry.com. Surname corrupted a variety of ways from what was probably the original German SŸß (Suss). Any and all help appreciated. Unknown locations between 1850 and mid 1860s, then to Rolla, MO) I have no Kansas contacts. Contact Marty .

I found an old picture in Kentucky. It's of two babies -- probably twins. On the back is this address: Mrs. Richard O. Ramsey, Topeka Blvd., Topeka, Kans. I'm trying to get this family photo back home.

My grandfather John C Scott was born somewhere in Kansas in 1875. His parents are unknown to me. He married my grandmother Matilda Azalee Kemp in Collin County, Texas in 1898.
