Topic: Malone Family
From: Justine Miller jmiller585@aol.com
Date: Saturday, March 30, 2002 04:37 PM

Looking for a Malone family from Pennsylvania who were living somewhere in Kansas around 1862. They had a son named David W. (Wallace?) Malone in the early part of 1862. The father died when David was just a boy, and the story goes that he later indentured himself to a Norwegian or Swedish family involved in brickmaking. His mother's name may have been Wolf(e). Thank you for any help.

Topic: Fallen firefighters Richard FEE & Robert HAMILTON
From: Dale Churchman dale@kscable.com
Date: Saturday, March 02, 2002 09:21 AM

The Kansas Firefighters Museum is building a Fallen Firefighters Memorial with a Memorial Wall of Kansas firefighters who died in the line of duty. We are engraving the wall with the names, fire departments and date of death on the wall. We have 89 names but do not have dates of death for two firefighters from the Kansas City Fire Department: Richard Fee and Robert Hamilton.

We assume they died in a fire and the date was probably some time ago.

Any help you can offer will be appreciated because we will be installing the granite wall soon and would like to include this information.

Thank you.

I am trying to find where my grandfather was born, and who his family members are. I know his mother was Metta Schafer(sic)when she died, but his name was Lloyd Penwell. He was born in Kansas, but I don't know where, and he died after 1925, again, I don't know where. I am sorry to be so vague, but I just don't know anything. As a matter of fact, I always believed my mother's stepfather was my grandfather until after he died in 1958! I know he was married to my grandmother and my mom was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1925. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
