Hi, I am new here, so bear with me as I explain.
I have been researching the whereabouts of Mary Elizabeth
Plumer, born about 1831, and her daughter, Annie Hooper
Plumer, born 1865 in Peabody, MA. Mary married my ancestor
Hiram Plumer in 1860, and when he died in 1872, I found her
and her daughter in 1880 census living in Salem.
I found an 1886 Salem city directory with a notation next
to Mary E. Plumer, widow, "removed to Lawrence, Kansas".
Which brings me here!

How can I confirm when this Mary moved to Lawrence,if she
and her daughter died there, where they might be buried?
Maybe her daughter married there. I suppose I need to write
to the Dougals County Clerk, and it will probably cost to
search all this, but trying here for any free help or
advice first. Any Kansas census or vitals available online?
