Seeking birth record of grandfather, born 6/14/1877. Parents were Charles Schenck, said to have been born in Germany, and Justina Harriet nee Moody. Infant was named Charles Carroll Schenck? (or registered as Moody?) Birth allegedly took place in or near Ellis, Hays County, KS. We hear that Hays County is now Trego county. Can anyone verify record of where he was born? Thanks,
