I am a descendant of Andrew McBride, whose widow, two sons, and a daughter, settled in Atchison County in the 1850s. Andrew (1779-1853) m. Sarah Eden Fuson in Patrick County, VA, in 1807. They settled in White County, TN, the following year; and after Andrew's death those cited and their families became KS 56ers. I am in contact with a descendant of Andrew Jackson McBride (1821-1877) but have not located one of Thomas Crawford McBride (1826-?)---both Atchison County pioneers. I am a descendant of an older brother of the two, whose descendants remained in TN; so, the problem of reestablishing contact with family after 150 years!
I would appreciate contact with anyone who is researching McBride genealogy in Atchison County. I am also working on the connection between the McBrides above and Joseph Mulkey McBride, a pioneer in Atchison County, too. I have read the biographical sketches of the two brothers in Cutler's history; and recently saw one of Lester Brasfield McBride (a Thomas Mulkey descendant) which I can no longer locate on the KS Genealogical Web Site(s).
Thank you for your interest in McBride genealogy.

Regards,
William F. McBride
