My Grt Grt Grandfather Jacob Asbury Baker aka "Berry" Baker built, with his brothers, two of the first Grist mills in Smith County. The first in Gaylord on the Solomon River, South East of Town in 1871 with a Keeler. The 2nd, Samuel and Berry Baker built in Cedarville on the North Branch of the Solomon River in 1874 which became owned by Cox & Muxlow. Are there pictures or ruins of these Grist-Mills? Does anyone have any info on my Baker Family? I found Berry in a census under J.A. Baker married to L.B. Baker. George Amos Baker was my Grt Grandfather. Anything would be appreciated. Blessings, Tami Baker Dean
