Hymeneal

On last night at Ives House, by the Rev. J.H. Miller, Mr. H. E. Lightfoot of Hebbardsville, Kentucky, and Miss Emma A. Everhart, of Parsons, Kansas.

There were two young ladies present, whose names we did not learn, and several gentlemen, among whom we noticed Messrs. Col A.D. Jaynes, H.W. Anderson, Geo. T. Brown, D.W. Bouldin, R.T. Gentry, Lum Hall, Hopkins, Morgan, and the representatives of two of the city papers.

This was a case where love triumphed over parental opposition. The young lady's parents were greatly averse to the union, but she was in favor of it, so they just started out in daylight with the eyes of the "cruel parents" looking daggers at and after them. A telegram was sent to mine Hosts of the Ives to have everything ready and meet them at the Depot with a carriage, and have a parson at hand, as time was precious, all of which was done.

The ceremony which linked these two willing hearts, was a most beautifully impressive one, and after the happy pair received the hearty congratulations of their strange friends, they took the 9:40 train to St. Louis, thence to Kentucky.

The bride is a beautiful plucky blonde, and the groom is a very genteel looking young man. "May they live long and prosper."
