William TIBBETTS b. 1813 in Maine settled in Wilson County about 1860. Based on the birthplaces of his children, he and his family had lived in IN, MO, and AR before this move.

His wife, Frances b. 1819 KY, died in February 1870 of 'lung disease'. Three or four more Tibbetts children died at the same time.

I would very much like to communicate with anyone who knows anything about this family.

Thank you.

My great-grandmother, Florence Williams, was born in Fredonia, Wilson County, Kansas, October 27, 1873. She was the child of Thomas Alfred Williams and Luraney Eveline Camp. Thomas and Luraney had 9 children of which 5 of them are believed to have been born in Kansas. Would like to hear from anyone researching this line of the Williams family. I have no information before Thomas Alfred but will share all I have.

Looking for information on Windsor Craig and wife Rachel William Craig, they settled on the Verdigris near Coyville. They came with a group from Fayette county Illinois.

Also looking for Ned Williams who also came with them, would like to find his connection with Rachel.

I have much information on descendants of Windsor and Rachel's son Matthew Craig.

I am interested in the Cecil family. Ethel and Blanche Cecil taught school in the Wilson County area. I know at Buxton. Ethel Cecil married Alexander Blakely and Blanche married Cecil Taylor. Also I would like info on the Williams family. Daniel Williams and his family came to Kansas in 1883. They may have traveled with Martha Jane and James Harvey Cecil. Daniel was Martha Jane's brother. James and Martha are the parents of Ethel and Blanche.
Settled at Neodesha.
Please e-mail me with any info at bshields@altamontks.com
Thanks,
Mary
