Topic: Ira James Rice
From: Clyde Rice clideryce@aol.com
Date: Tuesday, December 30, 2003 03:50 PM

Looking for my gg grandfathers grave. Ira James Rice born 1808, Greene Co. NY. He came to either Wilson or Montgomery Co. KS, about 1882 by way of IA.

He had a daughter, Frances Marion Rice, married to a Joseph Rice, Ira's nephew, yes cousins. The best we know is Ira died Feb. 10, 1894. Frances and Joe, I believe lived there until death in the 19 teens or twenties. I believe they had at least one daughter, as my uncle told me he used to write to his cousin and she told him she could shoot antelope from the front porch.

Thanks for any info!
Clyde Rice

Hi!
My name is Jamie Barnett and I live in Los Angeles. I am doing research on a family name Cronan. Specifically, Emmett Cronan. He died in Jan. 1979 in Wilson County. He had ties with the communities of Buffville, Hilford, and Neodesha. I don't know who any of his survivors may have been, and that's my problem, I would truly like to find them as I am related to them. If anyone who reads this may have known him or his family members I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. Thank you so much.

Abigail is the mother of Maggie. In the LDS 1880 census her name is Maggie(1869) Van Hoose, but I have found two other names for her daughter of Joseph Bales or Henry Reed or Samuel VanHoose as stated in the 1880 census...

I also found she died in 1899 that is why Maggie is not in the census. New Address MaureneLegg@aol.com
