Obituary of MARY ELIZABETH SCHAFER
Mrs. Jacob B. (Mary Elizabeth) Schafer, 84, 904 E. 5th St., died Friday afternoon at Russell City Hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. family service at Pohlman's Memorial Chapel. Rev. R. G. Sedo will officiate. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery.
She was born May 30, 1885. On June 20, 1907, she married Jacob Schafer at LaCrosse. They moved from a farm in Barton County in 1948 to Russell.

Preceding her in death were a son as an infant, and a son, Elmer, on Aug. 3 of this year.

Survivors include the widower; six daughters, Mrs. Sig (Irene) Morgenstern, Russell; Mrs. Conrad (Nima) Krom, Great Bend; Mrs. Reinhold (Alvina) Wegele, Russell; Mrs. Ray (Isabell) Huschka, Ellinwood; Mrs. Walter (Florence) Stieben, Great Bend; and Mrs. Norman (LaFern) Sharkey, Hutchinson; 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
