I found more information about my husband's grandma, who disappeared in 1959. Her name is Jimmie Ruth Bomar (however she might have gone by her mom's maiden name which is Ruff). Her parents were Thomas James Bomar & Edna Ruth Ruff Bomar. She was born on March 26, 1928 in Atchison, Kansas. Her father was a butcher & he had been married once before. She has four half-sisters: Elizabeth, Mary Dorothy & Bernadette. As far as I know she also had a brother named Edward born in 1930. I have been in contact w/one of Dorothy's sons, but I really haven't found out any information, just a confirmation that I had the right family. I'm hoping that someone out there might know something more. I would love to hire a private detective & be able to find out what happened to her, but my husband & I have two young children & we just don't have the extra money. Jimmie disappeared from California in 1959, leaving behind two children (Ruth & Dennis Monen). If anyone knows the family or if you have any information that might help give us some closure please let me know.
