I am looking for information on the Mooney family that descended from John Mooney, SR. Either John SR or his son John JR and another son, James were supposed to have settled in the area of what is now Linn County KS in the late 1840s. There is differences about which John it was. John SR was born about 1787, John JR about 1823 and James about 1820. Both Johns seem to have left Polk Co MO about 1848 either by moving or by death. John SR left a wife and John JR left a wife and two children.
